Find Inner Solace: Aquarius New Moon Intentions

It's a time for new beginnings as we center, focus and go within for this New Moon in Aquarius (Feb. 18 at 3:47 pm PST). With Goddess Nut and my mentor, Francesca De Grandis by my side I channel this New Moon Reading for you. As the stars shine bright, I can feel that my heart is heavy and in need of healing and tears so I call again upon God/dess to aid me; to allow me to go deeper within and to discover why. I also 'work' with an obsidian sphere (aurora borealis) to help with this; an excellent stone for just this purpose. I won't go into my discussion with my guides and gods other than to say; it helped and I recommend it to all of you who are struggling, sad and feeling weighted down. Create a circle to call upon this New Moon or find a Circle. I offer New Moon Circles all over. Then create ritual to call upon the Moon, your gods and the Divine and go within to commune with your own heart, soul and cells to find inner solace, answers or perhaps just more questions.

Be not afraid to stretch, stretch, stretch into realms un-reachable. Aquarius energy encourages this so use it to be radical, far out, yet still connected to the collective unconscious because Aquarius understands how. Trust that. GO!

Mermaids!

Because my mermaid paintings and prints are sooo poplular I've decided to group them into sections to make it easier for you. If you don't see anything that meets your needs I have TONS more mermaid paintings that I'm not showing; just ask!

Open Your Heart: Full Moon in Leo

Breathe deeply and allow this Full Moon to wash over you. In our astrological charts the moon represents the mother and where we feel most comfortable emotionally. I happen to have a double Aquarius Moon (ie. my Moon is in the sign of Aquarius in the 11th house, the Aquarius house). I feel at home in groups and with friends and I'm also just fine being by myself doing 'so called' odd or unusual things such as what I'm doing here on this blog! I love meditating in groups --- the energy feels more intense and awesome.  I love learning in groups especially when the teacher thinks creatively or better yet CHANNELS the class material on the spot which is something I like to do for my  classes; that way each class is unique and hopefully transformational.

Full Moon in Leo Oracle Card: Caava Kicks Butt

Time to sink, sink, sink into your subconscious. It's Mercury Retrograde right now so it's not time yet to move forward (wait until Feb. 11 or better yet wait until the Mercury shadow period is over and we're entering the Spring Equinox on March 20.)

This moon is gonna be a deeply felt and intensely emotional moon so be kind to yourself now.  Take time to connect and reach out to extended family or friends you haven't spoken to for a while; perhaps contact a medium to connect with an ancestor who has passed over or put in a dream request to 'see' them again.  It's time now to ask for guidance and healing from friends, your guides or the Divine.

This Full Moon is also very close to the holy day of Imbolc (Candlemas) which marks the half way point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox on the Wheel of the Year. This usually occurs around Feb. 2, but this year it technically falls on Feb. 4.  Traditionally this is a time of initiation, a time of quickening and a time when farmer's ewe's (sheep) began to lactate (the Gaelic word for ewe's milk is "oimelc").  Imagine taking that first long drink of fresh ewe's milk --- take the time to really savour it, then give your imagination free reign.

Into the Dark: Winter Solstice & New Moon in Capricorn

Dear Creative Soul, When I sat down in my shamanic New Moon Circle to honour and celebrate the upcoming Winter Solstice and New Moon in Capricorn this is what I channeled:

Oh Winter, Cailleach, Ancient Crone, Dark Night, I listen to your Silence and I hear the cauldron bubble and the owl hoot. It's time now to go within, to the dark, dark place where death and ice dance our name. Beneath the earth we enter Her barrow, Her cave at sunrise, Solstice morn. First light we see touches our third eye through this opening: the Light...the Light...she does return and within her, Hope and Dreams and Seeds are planted. It is the New Moon in Capricorn so let us plant these seeds, these dreams and tend Her garden for we are called...YOU are called...the wheel turns and we reply:

My Winter Solstice Vision As for me: I feel at peace; calm, quiet, centered.  The darkness is velvety. I am surrounded by my guides, totems and star beings. I lie down and they bless me as my third eye tingles. The Hag, the Cailleach and I peer into her cauldron and I get in ~ to die and be reborn. I wait for the perfect moment; the moment of Solstice, to be born as light returns. I scream then I sleep; a new day has come.

Intention Setting for the New Moon Let go into darkness and as you are re-born and the Sun returns, it's time now to set your intentions for the moonth ahead. Don't forget to journal too!
