If this card appears in a reading it’s self-evident that you need to take a stand. Who or what needs the boot in your life? Bolster your strength and courage and do something about it. NOW. Reach out for support. You don’t have to do this alone. Your heart is in the right place and you WILL move forward. There is a time and a place to take action and that time has come. Don’t charge in madly until you know exactly what you need to do. Write it down or talk it over with a friend if need be. Then move forward, one spiked toe at a time and it’s done. Good work, brave soul!

In my own life I usually like to wait to take action in regards to a grievance until I feel the fire in my veins. I’ve prepared for that moment by thinking and talking it through so I’m ready with the power of emotion and intellect for when I do take action and it gets results!

Creative Journal Prompt
Take a moment to pretend that you are climbing the tallest mountain around and that you have just reached the very top. Look around. Breathe the air, feel the exhilaration, the quiet peacefulness AND the pounding of your heart. We can be both: quiet and exhilarated. Take another moment to feel this duality within yourself. Now add a third element: knowing-ness. Then take one goal and apply these three elements to it while journaling and leave extra space in your journal entry so that you can record your progress over time.

Expressive Body Movement Challenge
Pretend that you have just climbed the aforementioned mountain. Then re-enact the part where you reach the top. What do you do? Express all three elements discussed above using expressive body movement. i.e. quiet, exhilarated, knowing.

Open Your Heart: Full Moon in Leo

Leo Goddess by Kathy Crabbe Breathe deeply and allow this Full Moon to wash over you. In our astrological charts the moon represents the mother and where we feel most comfortable emotionally. I happen to have a double Aquarius Moon (ie. my Moon is in the sign of Aquarius in the 11th house, the Aquarius house). I feel at home in groups and with friends and I'm also just fine being by myself doing 'so called' odd or unusual things such as what I'm doing here on this blog! I love meditating in groups --- the energy feels more intense and awesome.  I love learning in groups especially when the teacher thinks creatively or better yet CHANNELS the class material on the spot which is something I like to do for my  classes; that way each class is unique and hopefully transformational.

Full Moon in Leo Oracle Card: Caava Kicks Butt

Time to sink, sink, sink into your subconscious. It's Mercury Retrograde right now so it's not time yet to move forward (wait until Feb. 11 or better yet wait until the Mercury shadow period is over and we're entering the Spring Equinox on March 20.)

This moon is gonna be a deeply felt and intensely emotional moon so be kind to yourself now.  Take time to connect and reach out to extended family or friends you haven't spoken to for a while; perhaps contact a medium to connect with an ancestor who has passed over or put in a dream request to 'see' them again.  It's time now to ask for guidance and healing from friends, your guides or the Divine.

This Full Moon is also very close to the holy day of Imbolc (Candlemas) which marks the half way point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox on the Wheel of the Year. This usually occurs around Feb. 2, but this year it technically falls on Feb. 4.  Traditionally this is a time of initiation, a time of quickening and a time when farmer's ewe's (sheep) began to lactate (the Gaelic word for ewe's milk is "oimelc").  Imagine taking that first long drink of fresh ewe's milk --- take the time to really savour it, then give your imagination free reign.

Cancer New Moon & Solar Eclipse July 1, 2011 1:54 am pdt

The Well is empty so what do I do, I grab a 'lefty' aka Creative Soul Card (see below) and a moonstone and I dream.

I float without words, formlessly without intention, action or purpose; i don't need them, i am guided. My life is full (i have several who will miss me when i'm gone). i have nothing to give you, just my heart which you may carve up as you wish.

When words go, poetry appears; a language for the birds (no twitter jokes, please). I do have ONE wish though, that you are open to change, seek knowledge, get off your damn cell phones and worship Nature as your Mother. That's all I have to say (for now).

Gemini New Moon Musings

Each month at the new, full and crone (waning) moon I post a Creative Soul Card of the month along with actions, challenges, questions in my Moon Musing Group in the Creative Soul Circle (free to join ~ women only!)  Many of you have already taken my eClass (Awaken Your Divine Feminine Soul) and have the lingo downpat ie. Moon Musing Journals, Collages, etc. so I really recommend taking this class if you’re feeling a bit confused. I’ve also included Moon Musing Playsheets for you to download so that you can follow along at your own pace.

Each month’s moon musing is different, because I wait for guidance from Mama Moon herself according to the zodiac sign she resides in and attempt to time my musings for the exact moment that she enters that particular sign.

I also suggest that you set intentions each new moon with the help of this New Moon Manifestation Exercise written by my favorite astrologer, Barbara Hand Clow.

Challenge: There is so much going on right now that I’m going to keep it very simple, now that IS a challenge!

Action: I’d like you to envision your new moon intentions as if they were torches and then imagine lighting each one of your torches as if we were standing together in a circle all around the globe; one torch sparking another and another. Then I’d like you to share any visions and insights that you receive in regards to each one of your intentions allowing the torches to spark and illuminate your intentions in new and exciting ways.
