Okay, so I'll just take it from the beginning. When I was little I had several dolls that I had named Beatriz and I used this spelling when I wrote out their names. One doll in particular was a rag doll and she had wavy blond hair. I remember my sister telling me that it was a dumb name for her but I insisted that was her name. I found it interesting that I had wavy hair in my past life (guess I'll never get rid of these curls!)

In my adolescent years I used to show horses and I still enjoy riding and even crave to ride, but I no longer own a horse.Several years ago my now ex husband and I started going to Renaissance festivals. At first I didn't want to go, but after my first time attending one I felt very comfortable and loved being dressed up. Also I have no problem understanding Shakespeare or other Elizabethan works which people find odd.

I am fascinated and petrified at the same time of bats, but the mystical stuff has always fascinated me although I have never practiced anything like that because it just feels a bit weird.

You mentioned that you caught glimpses of other lifetimes and in one of them I was blinded by pain and feeling pain behind the knee - I have always been enamored with the US Civil War and have always felt that I was a Confederate Soldier who died in battle.

On to the second lifetime! My paternal grandfather's name is Amiel and I got a little kick out of the fact that you felt my name sounded like Amiel. Still a blond, huh? At least in past lifetimes I didn't get the blond out of a bottle!

I have always wanted to be a Gypsy!! When I was married we used to take off in the car without alot of money, and just drive until we stopped. The craziest thing we ever did was take off and drive to Southern California and we only had $300 to get us there and back. It was a fun trip though!

I also love a good bonfire and feel at home when I am at one! My dress style is very gypsy like or bohemian.

Becoming a nurse and working at a hospital is sort of interesting - I cannot stand blood and guts. I have gone back to school to study social work and I still want to do social work but I am kinda changing my mind and am interested in grief counseling or working in a hospice center instead - I just want to help people. Mystical influences have always interested me but I have always been afraid to dive into it. Maybe in this lifetime I should.

You talk about receiving a charm - when I was born my maternal grandmother pinned a Virgin Mary charm to the mattress of my crib. The charm was silver but Mary was in blue. All of my mattresses have had this charm on it, but one day it disappeared and I have not been able to find it since - that was probably about 4 years ago. I am going to work on the "tendencies to leave behind," especially the impatience and the second guessing of what others are thinking. All in all I thought it was a great reading!! A Past Life Reading for Jennifer Jamiel

I will begin your past life reading by taking a look at two of your past lives based upon a psychic/soul reading of your past life energy.

Lifetime 1

The first lifetime I tap into takes place in England during medieval times and your name is Beatrice (Beatriz).

The first thing I see is a horse wearing some sort of head hear (a mask) running up and the rider has a plume on his helmet and hands a message intended for the king to a gate keeper.

Then I see you, all alone, high up in a tiny window within the castle. You are looking down and your face is pale and your hair is long, blonde and wavy. You are quite bored and lonely as you traipse from room to room dangling your hands over the furniture.

Fast forward in time…you have your own castle now and a tall, thin husband, but you’re still bored! So you go to the local witch for help and she gives you a potion to stir up some excitement in your marriage. You take this potion, but start to feel like you’re seeing bats in your hair so you stop!

Later on you give birth to a baby boy, “Timmy” and a girl, “Anelise” and you are happier, but you also have a vision of a masked “Bird Man” that you have been dreaming of for awhile. He is someone that complements your soul and brings you strength.

So you take up riding and dream of him, as if searching for him while on your long rides. You never find him, but you realize later that he was the brother that you never had (he may have died at birth).

Life Lesson: This was an unfulfilled life in some ways, but you endured, made the best of it and lived well, but always with the feeling that something was missing.

I also catch a glimpse of several other lifetimes:

Lifetime 2

The second lifetime I tap into takes place in Holland in the 1700’s and your name sounds like Amiel.

My first image of you is as a stocky, strong, wide, blondish woman wearing a pale blue apron. You are very practical and take charge.

I see creeks full of running water around you and I see you herding chickens.

You are married to a man named Jeremy. I also see a ‘friend’ of yours by the name of Magda. She is a strong woman with wild black hair. You are strangely attracted to the wild gypsy ways of Magda especially when you catch glimpses of her sitting by a fire at night. She is such a contrast to your own practical life.

You don’t want to befriend her (she is too far beneath you) but you do decide to let her read your palm. At the last moment you take your hand away from her just before she read it because you are afraid. Instead, she reads your tea leaves not saying anything of importance, but she does give you a charm, like a wish.

After receiving this charm, you begin to focus on what you really want in life and you decide that you want to help people and be compensated for doing this. So you become a nurse and eventually you work at a hospital and this truly fulfills you.

You never mention the gypsy encounter to anyone, but you keep that blue charm safely stored in a treasure box, for it changed your life.

Life Lesson: Once again you invited mystical outside influences into your life and most importantly, you paid attention to them. Brett Ward’s First Soul Reading

Brett reviews her soul reading: I just have to tell you about an experience I had a couple of days ago! I recently had the pleasure of interacting with Kathy Crabbe on Etsy.com Kathy is a Soul Reader. She offers psychic, astrological readings along with crystal healing exercises to help guide, transform and align you with your Soul’s true purpose. I was impressed with her knowledge and presence and decided to purchase a “mini soul reading”.  It gives you a brief glimpse into what is going on with you at this time. It is created for those who might be skeptics or just beginning an interest in matters spiritual. She “tunes into your energy and then emails what she “sees”.

Kathy emailed me her impressions. I read them and could relate to practically everything she wrote. I won’t get too detailed about this, but one thing I will mention is this…Kathy reported that an old person named Joe was hanging around. He was affiliated with the railroad and wanted to tell me something. My grandfather’s name was Joe and although this could have been gathered from my profile on Etsy.com, the railroad connection could not. My grandfather was obsessed with all things railroad and dreamt of being an engineer. It was an unfulfilled dream as he worked at the shipyard most of his life. When I mentioned this to Kathy, she told me that she read my profile AFTER she emailed the reading to me.

There were many other connections that Kathy made in this brief but startling reading. I wondered if she could do this in a mini reading, what would a full reading bring? That question had yet to be answered, but if I decide to go on with that, I’ll let you know what comes of it. A Soul Reading for Jennifer

It started with a tweet about 10 months ago. One day, feeling stuck and tired, I typed “I need a psychic!” I got a Direct Message from Kathy Crabbe (soul reader and artist) and thought, why not?

I have an open mind about all things and I’ve always been curious about psychic readings. I tried an introductory reading. I didn’t tell Kathy anything. I didn’t ask any questions. I never met her in person. Our only communication was through a couple of tweets and emails. Whether you believe in this kind of thing or not, let me tell you about her reading for me, and why one name, Regina, really struck home.

What’s in a name?

When I got Kathy’s reading in my inbox, we were on vacation in Idaho for my husband John’s first Ironman. We got back to the hotel room one night. I decided to check my email. I was excited when I saw a message from her. I opened it up. One of the very first things she wrote was:

I also sense a ghost (earthbound spirit) around you by the name of “Regina”– have you encountered her yet? She likes to stomp around a lot!

If you know me, or have read any of my blogs, then you may know that I miscarried a child about three years ago. When John and I were thinking of baby names, he really liked the name Regina for a girl.

I wrote Kathy about this. She replied,

I am sure that the spirit of your baby was around for this reading, she came in loud and clear at the very beginning (and esp. the fact that her name was mentioned – because I do find that it is very difficult to get exact names – so that is why I’m saying that her spirit was coming through and connecting with you – through me – in such a strong way)

I never really thought a reading would go so deep. I was hit with a wave of emotion. I cried for at least a half hour. I woke up during the night several times with just one name on my mind.

Aside from being moved, there were lots of things in her reading that resonated with me. I’m sharing my reading with you below. It was very nicely done. I liked her approach.

- The very first thing I was drawn to in your reading was a gemstone called “Tiger’s Eye.” Tiger’s Eye enhances one’s ability to understand and mediate between the two sides of an issue. It can help one find the middle way of balance, the trademark of a true spiritual warrior.

- I also sense a ghost (earthbound spirit) around you by the name of “Regina” – have you encountered her yet? She likes to stomp around a lot!

- Your energy feels so pleasant, fulfilling, calm and bountiful – I could sit with it for a long time and just rejuvenate…

- Now a dachsund breaks in on things and suggests that I pull a fairy card for you (this is kind of unusual actually – I’ve never had a dog pop in on a reading before!)

The card I pull for you is from my Fairy Herbal Healing deck and is called “Fennel.” The Fairy Herbal deck consists of eighty oracle cards that I created from my Fairy Herbal paintings. Their energy is light, ethereal, airy, and sparkly plus based in the green world, so add in some earthiness and green energy as well.

Fennel has the ability to protect one’s home and family. It was also used by the Saxons and is useful for those who practice meditation. Taking Fennel as a magical tonic will bring the ability to have a long life, face danger and be strong in the face of adversity. It is also said to help maintain fertility and virility.

- Now I am sensing you becoming a bit impatient and anxious that we move along.

- The next stone I suggest that you work with is called Black Tourmaline. It will help you center, stay calm, ground and focus. When Black Tourmaline appears it is encouraging you to undertake a ritual of purification. Perhaps you are holding onto old patterns that no longer serve you. When you purify your self and release worries and resentments, you are making room in your life for spiritual gifts to be received.

- Perhaps it’s this card and what it represents, or the next card I’m about to pull that is causing you some irritation, but I’m also being shown a man, someone you “can’t stand.”

- We’ll put him aside for now as you are asking me about your future.

This next card I pull is from my Lefty Oracle deck and will take a look 6 months into the future and it is called “Nambia pleasantly present”.

- So I ask you this question, “Where do you want to be 6 months from now?”

- I sense that you don’t want to be stuck here. So I ask you, “What part of yourself are you cutting off?” Well you need to do it and give yourself 3 years to develop it.

The next question you ask me is, “What is it?”

So I pull a card called “The Aries Goddess” from my Goddess Zodiac deck.

Aries embodies spring fire; she is erotic and independent, a primal rebel with revolutionary thought. Aries asks us to wake up and remember who we truly are, even if it bothers those we love or work for.

- You need to stay with it…focused and inspired. I see you strong and shining brightly, like the Sun. Your inspiration helps others in a really practical way ie. women that are down and out. Your spirit and strength are put to good use. You are secure and doing a great job.

This reading is in response to your wish for a connection with your spirit guides.

The first image I receive is of tigers!

The Tiger as your personal totem has this meaning: Tigers are considered to represent yang energy, and are also a solar animal which associates them with the sun, summer and fire symbolism.

Asian lore considers the tiger to be the protector of the dead, and tigers will often be seen in graves as a mark of protection, assuring peace for those who have passed.

I am also drawn towards working with banded gemstones for your reading such as Tiger’s Eye and Petrified Wood.

Petrified Wood allows us to access our roots or beginnings, which are stored on a cellular level, drawing strength and knowledge from our ancestors and our lineage. This allows us to “speak” to those who went before and gain wisdom from them. Honour where you have been, release the old, and allow yourself to move forward in a new direction.

At first your guides are very suspicious and protective of you – they want to make sure that my intentions are pure and honourable before I am able to connect with them!

An Exercise to Help You Connect with Your Guides

Next, they suggest an exercise that will help you to connect with them more easily. They suggest creating a circle of stones by surrounding yourself with yellow gemstones such as Calcite. This can be done literally or through visualization. To begin you are to get comfortable within this circle and to remain calm and centered.

Yellow Calcite promotes heightened awareness and truth. It encourages certainty and sureness, memory enhancement and quick thinking.

You are to realize that you are indeed protected here. You can also say some prayers as well as acknowledging the elements, earth, air, fire, water, your ancestors and The Great Spirit along with Grandmother Earth and Grandfather Sky. Nothing can harm you within this circle – you are safe.

Next, you are to ask to connect with your guides and to say: “Show yourself, send me a sign.” I am now seeing a long line of guides waiting to see you!

First I see a mother holding her baby. She is very warm, loving and nurturing. She is there for you – you are always a part of her and you like to watch her caring for her little one.

Next I see a Native American dancer wearing a wolf head (or it could be a coyote head). I also hear the name “Raymond”. He offers you protection as well.

The Wolf as Totem has this particular meaning: Deeply emotional, and wholly passionate, the Wolf is the lover of the zodiac in both the physical and philosophical sense of the word. The Wolf understands that all we need is love, and is fully capable of providing it. Juxtaposed with his/her fierce independence – this Native American animal symbol is a bit of a contradiction in terms. Needing his/her freedom, yet still being quite gentle and compassionate – we get the picture of the "lone wolf" with this sign. In a nurturing environment the Wolf is intensely passionate, generous, deeply affectionate, and gentle. Left to his/her own devices the Wolf can become impractical, recalcitrant, obsessive, and vindictive.

I also see someone in a cloud. I believe it’s an Angel – she is so glorious! I can only feel her energy (not really see her) and she is so bright (I catch glimpses of yellow) that it brings tears of joy to my eyes. She shines Grace upon you. And she says to you, “Listen to your heart (of course) and your guides. Then lie down beneath a blanket of stars and let the stars infiltrate your being so that you are one with them. Then you will fly and be free. There is much good for you to do in this world and although you may feel unsupported, we are here.”

I’m also given an image of a red hand-knit sweater that is quite small, as if it was meant for a child. This sweater is some sort of talisman for you. You are also a fierce protector yourself.

Next I pull a card for you from my Lefty Oracle Deck and it is called “Crazee Janice dancing as fast as she can”.

Because the Lefty cards were all drawn with my non-dominant left hand, the ‘intuitive’ hand (controlled by the right brain) they do not come with any kind of written interpretation. That part is up to you, so go with your intuition and trust whatever images, thoughts or feeling come up. It’s time to trust yourself and put your intuition to work – go!

I do believe that this card is indicating that you are in the middle of a whirlwind of events right now and you’re just doing your best to stay sane and catch up, but to know that this too will pass, so stay the course - ’steady as she goes’!

My mother died when I was four so the first person coming through being a mother wasn't too much of a surprise. My name is actually Scottish not Indian, but I have begun to have more of a focus o nature/pagan spirituality so it was nice to see an Indian. I have also been focusing lately on how to communicate better with them. It seems that I have been asking for a sign, and just not getting it, so the message of how to communicate with them certainly was an answer to that question. I still am not seeing the signs from them, but I am going to keep trying :)

That's a pretty good metaphor for my life. Life for me has been about survival, not living.

When I came back to Paganism (after a mis-guided jaunt into Christianity and Catholicism), birds became highly symbolic to me. At first, I attributed it to the dream I'd had about my Soulmate, because that cardinal never left me. Plus, I was instantly drawn to Rhiannon, so I just figured it was her birds. I'm not very knowledgeable about Spirit Totems, but I plan on learning. I did try the visualization you suggested; I have a hard time shushing my mind when trying to meditate, and I didn't feel very much different, but later that day I painted two watercolors that were better than any I'd ever done. So, I have to wonder!

"The brown haired man"

As soon as I read that, the image of the man in my dream from ten years ago popped into my head. I don't currently know anyone that could be him (the man in my dream), and I'm fairly certain I haven't met my Soulmate yet (that it's not someone I've ever known). The thing is, I just don't know how to differentiate between a feeling/instinct that something is/could be so, and wishful thinking.

"Does he fix cars?"

Again, this popped out at me because for years I've had this strong feeling that my Soulmate was either a mechanic or an architect. I can't explain how or why, but it's always been there. The fact that you saw my Dad ask that sort of confirmed it. I also got the feeling that if it's the mechanic that my Dad approves of, then that's the one to go with. It felt like he was giving his blessing. This also sort of confirmed another dream I had this year about my Soulmate. My father was in this one, and it was as if he was watching over us as we emerged from the ocean in each others arms.

In my dream, my Soulmate said, "See? All you had to do was stand still and I would find you." In other words, quit searching every face in the crowd. That would certainly combine my two loves: art and writing. It's funny, because back in the 1990's, when I first discovered SARK, I used to think, wow, these are great books. I wish I could do something like this. But then all I'd be doing is copying SARK. Then I promptly forgot about it and went about not-writing the novels that swirled in my head. Maybe the idea's not so far-fetched after all!

I like that a lot! Right away, it reminded me of the old movie Fried Green Tomatoes...remember when Mary Stuart Masterson's character would shout, "Towanda!!!" when she got her Girl-Power on? Ulrica is a great reminder that I can find the strength to handle what comes my way.

This is interesting, too. I've always wanted to go back to school; I had to drop out of art school in 1990 and have worked ever since. The money was never there to get a college degree. Maybe the Universe has a suprise in store for me with this one, especially since I've always thought myself too shy to be "on stage" as a teacher. It's an intriguing idea...

All in all, I have to say, you did a wonderful job, Kathy! You gave me a lot of food for thought, a glimpse at some possibilities. I'm sure, as I re-read both readings over time, other things will pop out at me or make more sense (I'm still curious as to where Mr. Bean fits in!) Without a doubt, if anything comes to pass with regard to the brown haired or black haired man and the artful career path, I will let you know! There has to be a reason why that dream has stayed with me - crystal clear - for ten years now. I've had other dreams in the past that eventually really happened (like dreaming of someone, complete with a first and last name, and then meeting that person about a year or so later). I think because this one means so much to me, I didn't want to believe in it completely in case it never came to pass. I didn't want to be disappointed.

Most of all, you gave me some unexpected comfort when my father came through to you. That itself is priceless. Although the Soulmate question was the one that was my biggest curiosity and meant the most to me, the greatest thing I took away from this experience was a closer feeling to my father.
