Would it surprise you to know that the results of a survey asking women what makes them extremely happy listed "Pets" at the top with 42%, sex was listed second at 27%, then food, shopping and the economy. I would have to agree! How 'bout you? (This survey is from Women Want More by John Jantsch).
I know that my own 4 legged friends have brought tons of love into my life so that I can't imagine living without them. Right now I have a cat and a dog, Abby and Spartacus, both black and white. Pets have always been a major inspiration for my work especially for the LuLu in Laguna Series which I painted on silk using silk dyes and gutta resist. What incredible luminosity and vibrancy silk gives to the work which I believe is unmatched by any other medium I've discovered.
