I thought I’d share with you some of the magick I felt during the creation of my Zodiac Goddess Power deck.

Birthing of the Deck
Creating the art and writing in this deck was my first act of art-magick back when I was in my late twenties, newly married, and living in lovely Laguna Beach, California after graduating from design school and moving to the US from Montréal, Québec. I was in need of Goddess Energy in my life and Astrology was my passion, but it was so Male! So I spent a month channeling Goddess Energy in tune with Mama Moon. I painted and wrote and danced the entirety of this deck into being which I then spent over 25 years to bring to fruition and into your hands as a Zodiac Goddess Power deck and guidebook.
Kali (Aries Goddess) by Kathy Crabbe
I Paint Aries
Channeling Aries energy put me into super-human mode! I felt strong, vibrant, creative, and filled with energy and confidence. I could do anything and take on any challenge! I felt like a God/dess and could barely contain my energy enough to put it down on paper.
My paintings exploded in burning reds and vibrant colors. I applied thick layers of acrylic paint, inviting chiseled human faces into the picture, divine and strong and madly dancing amongst the flames.

I Paint Gemini
Channeling Gemini energy brought me back to my child self. When I was in Design College my friend and I created cartoon characters for ourselves, kind of like altar egos and mine was named ‘LuLu’. After graduating I named my art business after LuLu to help ‘lighten my load’ and inspire the freedom I needed to play, dance, sing, make art, and make a living as an artist. Life became a game played with joyful spontaneity as I learned to live fully in the moment, clear my channels, release blockages, and express my newfound butterfly-freedom through words and art. I felt like a caged bird suddenly set free.
Cancer Goddess by Kathy Crabbe

Channeling Cancer energy guided me towards a deep, dark, quiet pool within my soul where the Cancerian goddess nurtured and protected me. I felt myself quiet and safe here as I sensed my own hidden strength, a strength that guarded and protected all my valuable treasures. The Moon Mother within me loves to be quietly at home where she can care deeply for her family.
I started by painting the Cancerian goddess’ moon face with simple, emotive strokes of ink on paper and then suddenly a happy accident, a sparkle of silver-blue ink fell onto the pure white surface of the paper and a star was born!

I Paint Leo
While channeling Leo energy I realized that women carry the gold, the torch and the light that can lead humanity out of the darkness and back into the light. I could feel the sun beckoning me, offering freedom and inspiration to lead the way.
The glory of Leo spiraled onto my illustration board as a whirling sun-face appeared surrounded by tongues of fire, golden heat and light. When I acknowledge my inner Leo I am a Leader of Light as I channel glowing and sparking positive energy to light the way for others. Leo is the sun that is creativity that is joy that is soul that is oneness with all.
Scorpio Goddess by Kathy Crabbe
I Paint Scorpio
I could sense my power during this meditation and was transformed from an ordinary being into a great vulture of deep knowledge and wisdom. I felt myself journeying down into the center of the earth where I acknowledged my intuitive, psychic powers and connected with the universe.
Powerful psychic energies flowed intensely into my painting; a phoenix was being born from the depths of a fire pit while two snakes formed a cord of life, balancing energy and soul.
Allow Scorpio energy into your life by developing psychic awareness, intensity of purpose and deep inner knowing. Scorpio is the power of the soul connecting with the universe to transform energy.
