Awakening New Moon Seeds of Intention Collage

"We can make art letting the voice of the goddess – the oracle – speak through us in healing words and images." ~ Vicki Noble To get things rolling for my brand new eCourse - Awaken The Divine Feminine - which debuts on the new moon, March 15, 2010 I'm going to be sharing some exciting ideas that are a part of this course such as the New Moon Collage in Aquarius (pictured here), the Full Moon Collage and Waning Moon Collage.

This Collage is an example of the kind of creative activity we will be doing in the course which begins at the New Moon on March 15th, 2010 at the Wise Woman University. The course is 4 weeks long and costs $49.95 - I created this self study course especially for women to help awaken, inspire and engage our passionate, intuitive, creative selves through the creation of a Moon Musing Journal, Moon Collages and Moon Musing Exercises in honour of the new, full and waning moons.

I believe that the moon can help guide and challenge us to know and resonate with our instinctual, emotional selves in a balanced, harmonious and soulful way.

The course will start on the new moon of each month and includes four lessons plus a supplemental Moon Musing email specifically geared to the zodiac sign that the moon falls in for that particular month. My course is offered through the Wise Woman University which has loads of interesting, goddess-oriented, self-study programs on offer, so check us out!

If you have any questions about the course, please let me know and I'll be happy to respond here or by email.

Waning Moon Collage - Dark Goddess Sheila-na-gig

“We can make art letting the voice of the goddess – the oracle – speak through us in healing words and images.” ~ Vicki Noble Sheela-Na-Gig is a goddess I have wanted to work with for a long time. She represents much that we, as women, have had to subdue just to fit in. She is fierce and uncompromising.

“She is remembered in Ireland as the Old Woman Creatress who gave birth to all races of men. Her function in the church was like that of the Gorgon on Athena’s shield: to protect and ward off evil. Labeled obscene in later more prudish times, the carvings were destroyed or defaced, sometimes buried in yards of the churches they once sanctified.” ~ Elinor W. Gadon - The Once & Future Goddess

My Waning Moon collage was created on the computer. The background consists of an abstract painting from my recent series “Journey into Intimacy” and the quotation was something I had used beneath my photo in my graduation yearbook from Graphic Design College, back in 1992!

This Collage is an example of the kind of creative activity we will be doing in my new eCourse Awaken the Divine Feminine which begins anew at every New Moon at the Wise Woman School founded by Susun Weed. The course is 4 weeks long and was created especially for women to help awaken, inspire and engage our passionate, intuitive, creative selves through the creation of a Moon Musing Journal, Moon Collages and Moon Musing Exercises in honour of the new, full and waning moons.

Do You Believe In Dreams?

I've been writing and researching alot for the online course I'll be teaching - trying to determine the outcomes of the course. Perhaps my lunar based course is trying to teach me something; to let go of outcomes. Aren't there enough courses out there that beat that into our heads? How about a course that seeks to awaken us to our passion, our instincts, our inner knowing, our emotions? I know how easy it is to cut oneself off from these ways of being. Society and the media cannot package and sell these qualities - we must spark and grow them on our own or in cahoots with like-minded souls who now, thanks to the internet are much easier to find.

Today I look at my pure white canvas board and I realize how important it is to be true to myself and to express this truth in all I do. Why, you may ask...Because happiness breeds happiness, passion - passion and joy - joy ... I revel in this fertility.

By picking up a pen, a brush (whatever works for you!) we focus our attention, our minds, upon the other, as we let our soul speak. It's truly amazing how we are able to manipulate our own feelings, change track, or get back on track, fall off track - do we even realize how powerful we are?

As I press myself into it's surface (the masonite) I leave an imprint from my soul to yours.
