The Neurodivergent Moon Tarot Card

Sea Friend,

As I sit at my desk/altar penning this I have a lot of questions about fear, death, masking and Neurodivergence which I will attempt to address in the coming weeks with a poem dedicated to this week's Siren Song Tarot Card: The Moon.

With the help of the Hagstone and Hecate necklaces I just received from the Edinburgh Museum of Magick, Fortune-telling & Witchcraft I will attempt to go deep within this Piscean Mystery Moon card's meaning to pull out Mermaid Secrets from the ocean's depths...to listen carefully and to find a way to connect to my true self, beneath the mask and then share it with you, of course.

I am currently working on a 17 week project for a creativity class with my spiritual witch mentor Francesca De Grandis. I will use this time to finish the last six paintings from the Major Arcana of my Siren Song Tarot and then really dig deep to explore these cards that represent all of human experience. I will also include poetry, travel notes, sketches, musings and tarot wisdom during my travels to Canada in late July through October. I plan to have a finished galley for a book by the end of the 17 weeks that will be self published or I will find a publisher for it.

About Kathy Crabbe

I channel healing magick through my soul readings and divination decks.

Dividing my time between California and Canada I travel by caravan to mer-faerie cottages built by my beloved, Mark and myself.

My work has appeared in Sage Woman Magazine, We'Moon Datebook, Creative Cronies Moon Diary, and the Women's Museum of California. I review divination decks for Witches & Pagans Magazine and have taught at Wise Woman School.

Awkward Beauty

Dear Moon Muser,

Each drawing/painting in my current series is showing, by example, how to change, transform, reclaim oneself.

How?

I draw with my non-dominant (left) hand - awkward, slow, weird.

I handicap challenge myself intentionally to create something different from anything I've created before...to be someone different...to know a different side of myself.

Not easy, but rewarding. The drawings show awkward beauty, what it's like to be autistic, neurodivergent, or different, or adopted, or weird, or to not fit in. This is beauty to me.

Sparkly Blessings!
