Our Twitter Conversation Continues - Finding the Perfect Teacher

Dana (Twitterer): You're right, it's difficult to put these (metaphysical) experiences into words. It changed me forever to see these (energy) forms and to know without a doubt that there's more going on than just the physical. That's helped me with 'trust' a whole lot! But it also gives me a longing feeling...for more. I would love a teacher to come into my life and help me to cultivate this relationship.

My Response:
I have also longed for the perfect teacher. I did find a teacher who provided a space for a group of us to learn psychic-mediumship and that was perfect for the time, but I feel as though I've spent my whole life just looking for that perfect teacher and never finding them! So, in the meantime I have worked with my guides, read tons of books, gone to various lectures, emailed folks I admire, and taken classes, in combination with my own spiritual practice - a whole smorgasbord that somehow, all together created a wonderful patchwork learning experience! So my advice is to work with what you've got on hand and just be open and ready for a teacher that may be appear in a form that is entirely unexpected!

Terri's House of Healing

Terri Darby & Me

Terri at "The Mother of Pearl" is an amazing healer/masseuse/reconnection worker/crystal healer and all round goddess and I go to her for esoteric healing and massage in Murrieta, California.

Terri not only works on my body, mind and soul but she is teaching me so much about what it means to be a spiritual healer, a beautiful woman, and an inspirational teacher.

Terri is a true healer, she works from love and with integrity. She knows what it means to value herself and her work. She is an explorer who has been guided by intuition for much of her life. It has guided her to live at the pyramids, to swim with the dolphins, to live with the nuns and give readings and to give up all her belongings while traveling so that she could fill her suitcases with shells collected at the beach. She is a leader of women, and a mentor and guide to all who cross her path and I am honoured to know her.

You can read another blog article (with pix) about my session with Terri here.

Capricorn Herbal Wisdom

COMFREY:

Comfrey or 'knitbone' is ruled by the planet Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, of course!

Magically known as Hecuba's bells, it is often used in Dark Moon celebrations to honour the crone aspect of the Goddess.

Comfrey can be worked with to release and cut cords that bind you to another and for empowerment as well. It has the power to destroy and construct.

HECATE:

Comfrey is an Herb of Hecate, Goddess of the Night and also of wild and wintry places.

ROOT CHAKRA:

Comfrey relates to the root chakra which lies at the base of the spine (and relates to our physical vitality and our survival instincts.) Because it is connected with Saturn and the element of earth it is helpful for those who lack structure and form in their lives. Comfrey can help contribute stability and a sense of order to those feeling lost within chaos and despair.

Comfrey is also helpful for women who have suffered near-death experiences or serious injury.

COMFREY TEA:
Drink a cup of comfrey tea in the morning until you no longer feel the need for it.
