In the green, green depths of her snowy-white egret's heart, she knew this bird, her totem animal, her friend, her ally, like she knew herself. Composed, quiet, yet not afraid, ever, to be herself. She was proud and she would not back down. For this was Her time, Her space, Her life and for that she was deeply and forever grateful.
