Divine Feminine Abstract Series (2008-2012)

Inspired by goddess spirituality and abstract expressionists, Joan Mitchell and Per Kirkeby, I painted this series to unleash and free inner my demons on a mystical and passionate journey into divine feminine intimacy. This was a spiritual journey of healing and redemption with eyes, moons, circles and spirals from ancient goddess legend emerging from within each painting to seed hope in a future of empowered women.

I painted this series during a tough patch in my life when art, once again saved the day. I literally RAN for my silks and acrylics; grabbing a large 5 foot bolt of silk and tearing 4 foot squares from it which later became this series filled with all the healing and fiery passion I could muster.
